Bacton Beach House

- the property

The Beach House itself is much more than the name suggests. It is very spacious, fully equipped and very comfortably furnished and decorated.
You enter into a large L - shaped open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The middle section of the Beach House has a wood-burning fire set into a brick chimney, an antique desk with a wealth of local information and leads to the seating area with huge comfortable sofas, an antique dining table and windows on three sides offering 180° panoramic views of the sea and coastline. All the rooms have high timber lined ceilings. The living room has a Flat screen television with Freesat channels, a DVD player and a portable CD/Radio. There are a number of games, books and leaflets about the local area and a pair of binoculars to study the local bird-life or passing ships.

The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, glassware, pots, pans, cutlery etc and a double sink and drainer. There is a full size electric oven, four ring electric hob, microwave oven, under-counter sized fridge with a freezer compartment, plus another half sized fridge and ice box. Also a full-size washing machine and brand new Bosch dishwasher, 4 slice Toaster, Kettle and kitchen scales. There is a breakfast bar area at the end of the kitchen - this is where the sun rises, and of course, more sea views.

The master bedroom has it's own french doors leading onto the decked terrace, and mirrored windows to the front for privacy - Sea views on two sides of course. A brand new oak double bed, antique chest of drawers and side table with lamps.
The second bedroom has two single beds, individual wall lights and a very large pine triple wardrobe.

As with all holiday rental properties we ask you to bring sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers and towels. We can supply all of these if you're coming by train, bike, foot or from abroad etc for a weekly supplement of £30.00.

The master bathroom has a bath with handshower, toilet, handbasin, separate shower cubicle (with instant hot water) and more of those stunning sea views!

There is a seperate wc adjacent to the main family bathroom and the second bedroom.

In colder weather the chalet is very well insulated and draughtproofed and retains the warmth through it's timber construction. The wood - burning fire uses logs or coal which are available locally. Please note : the fire gets very hot and in operation needs to be opened with the glove supplied and is not ideal to use with young children. There are a number of portable electric convection heaters around the house and a fan heater in the bathroom.

We're very sorry to say that at present we cannot accommodate pets and there is a strict no smoking policy throughout the Beach House.

The changeover day is Saturday and we ask holidaymakers to vacate by 10am, and to arrive after 3.00pm. to give the cleaner time to prepare the Beach house.
